Rev. Timothy Allen is the pastor of the Greater Friendship Missionary Baptist Church. He is a native of Boston, a graduate of Northeastern University, and an employee of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a juvenile parole officer. Rev. Allen received Christ as a teenager and has always been driven to see other people establish a relationship with the Lord. His concern for young people, especially those deemed at risk, has had a tremendous impact on his ministry. Over the past 20 years, he has mentored and poured into the lives of many individuals across the country. Because of his influence, many have gone on to serve the Lord in fields ranging from the law and politics to the Gospel ministry.

Rev. Allen is known as a prolific Bible Study instructor with the ability to explain difficult issues in a way that anyone can grasp. As a result, he has been able to help many people gain a greater understanding of essential Christian doctrine. Rev. Allen also serves as one of the protestant Chaplains at the Nashua Street Jail. The Chaplaincy has opened many doors for the Gospel to be preached in various penal institutions across the state of Massachusetts.

In addition to growing the ministry at Greater Friendship, Rev. Allen is also actively involved in providing spiritual development and educational opportunities for adolescent males in danger of becoming involved with the juvenile justice system. Transform Ministries was established in 2003 as the vehicle to fulfill this vision.

Rev. Allen has been married for the last seventeen years to his beautiful wife Sheila. They are the proud parents of a fourteen year old daughter named Alexandria.
